Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, who else touches it and how to make us delete it. Written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every possibility.

Last updated: September 2026

This policy applies to makemyapp.us and to the enquiries you send us through it. It is written in plain language on purpose. If something here is unclear, email info@makemyapp.us and we will explain it.

The short version

  • We collect what you type into a form on this site. Nothing else about you is gathered in the background.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • There is no third-party spam-protection service, no advertising pixel and no social tracking widget on this site.
  • Analytics is not currently enabled on this site. If that changes, this page changes with it.
  • You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time using the contact details at the end.

Who we are

MakeMyApp is a custom software development business serving clients in the United States. For the purposes of this policy we are the business that decides what happens to the information you submit here. You can reach us by email at info@makemyapp.us or by phone at +1 341 208 1344.

What we collect, and exactly where from

This website has two forms. Neither of them asks for anything we do not need in order to reply to you, and neither of them requires you to create an account.

1. The enquiry form on the contact page

When you submit the main enquiry form, the following fields are processed and sent to us:

  • Your name and email address — required, because they are how we reply.
  • Phone number and company name — optional.
  • Project type, platforms, project stage, budget range and timeline — the selections you make, so the reply is about your situation rather than generic.
  • Whether you asked for an NDA — recorded as a yes or no so we can send one before discussing details.
  • Your message — required. Whatever you choose to write goes to us exactly as typed, so please do not put passwords, card numbers, health information or other sensitive material into it.

2. The cost calculator estimate capture

The calculator itself runs entirely in your browser — moving the sliders and picking options sends nothing to us. Only if you choose to submit the form that appears with your result do we receive:

  • Your name and email address.
  • The estimate range that was displayed to you, and a summary of the options you selected, so our reply can reference the same numbers you saw.

What is attached automatically

Both forms record the date and time of submission, and set the reply address on the notification email to the name and email you provided so we can respond directly. Like effectively every website, the web server keeps standard request logs that may include IP addresses; these are generated by the hosting platform for security and troubleshooting, are not linked to form submissions by us, and are rotated on the host's schedule.

Spam protection: no third party is involved

Rather than embedding a commercial CAPTCHA service that would profile you on our behalf, this site uses two mechanisms that run entirely on our own server:

  • A simple arithmetic question (for example, add two single-digit numbers). The question and its expiry are carried in a short cryptographically signed token that travels with the form, and the answer is verified server-side. Nothing about you is stored, no cookie is set, and no request is made to any outside service.
  • A hidden honeypot field that is invisible to people and only ever filled in by automated bots. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded.

Neither mechanism tracks you, fingerprints your device, or sends data anywhere.

Why we process it, and on what basis

There is one reason: to answer your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to scope and quote the work. That is processing in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to pursue our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact our business. We do not use enquiry details to build marketing profiles, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Who else handles it

  • Our hosting provider, which operates the server this website runs on and generates the standard request logs described above.
  • A transactional email provider, which relays the notification message from the website to our inbox. It processes the contents of your submission only in order to deliver that one email, acting on our instructions.
  • Our business email provider, where the enquiry then sits in our inbox like any other email.

These providers act as processors for us. We do not give your information to advertisers, data brokers, lead-generation networks or anyone else, and we do not publish it.

Where your information is delivered and stored

When a form is submitted, two things happen. The submission is emailed to the person at MakeMyApp who handles enquiries, and the same content is written to the website's own server-side log. The log exists purely as a delivery safety net: if the email relay fails, a genuine enquiry is still recoverable rather than silently lost. That log is on the web server, is not publicly accessible, and is not used for analysis, profiling or marketing of any kind.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or social-media cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to for advertising purposes.

  • Functional cookies from WordPress. The site runs on WordPress, which may set a short-lived test cookie to check that cookies work, and sets session and authentication cookies for anyone who logs in to administer the site. Ordinary visitors are not logged in and are not given those cookies.
  • Analytics cookies: none at present. No analytics product is enabled on this site, so no analytics cookies are set. If we turn analytics on later, this bullet and the section below will describe it, and the change will be dated at the top of this page.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the WordPress functional cookies will not stop you reading the site or submitting a form.

Analytics

Analytics is not currently enabled on this website. No Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no third-party measurement script is loaded on any page. We would rather say that plainly than publish a policy describing tracking that does not exist.

If we add analytics in future, this section will describe which product it is, what it records and how to opt out, and the last-updated date at the top of this page will change. The site is built so that the analytics tag only ever loads once a valid measurement identifier has been configured.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects — kept for a limited period in case you come back, then deleted. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.
  • Enquiries that become projects — kept for the life of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we may need them for contractual, tax or accounting purposes.
  • Server-side delivery logs — short-lived and rotated by the server, not retained as a database.
  • Hosting request logs — retained on the hosting provider's standard rotation schedule.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are checked server-side with a request token, the arithmetic question and the honeypot described above before anything is sent or written. Administrative access to the website is limited to the people who maintain it. No system is perfect and we will not claim otherwise, but we do not hold payment details or account credentials on this website, which removes the most attractive target.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and comparable laws in other states give you rights over the personal information a business holds about you. We extend the following to anyone who asks, regardless of state:

  • Know and access — ask what we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct — have inaccurate information fixed.
  • Delete — have it removed, except where we are required to keep records for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing — there is nothing to opt out of, because we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months.
  • Limit use of sensitive information — we do not ask for sensitive categories of personal information, so none is collected to limit.
  • No retaliation — exercising any of these rights will never affect the service or pricing you receive from us.

To exercise any of these, email info@makemyapp.us or call +1 341 208 1344. We aim to respond within a few business days and will not make you jump through hoops. We may ask you to confirm the email address the enquiry came from so that we delete the right person's data. If someone is acting as your authorised agent, we will ask for reasonable proof of that authority.

International transfers

Our delivery team and some of the providers listed above operate outside the United States, so information you submit may be processed in another country. Wherever it is processed, it is handled under this policy and under the contractual terms we have with our providers. If you would prefer not to send certain details over the web at all, call us instead.

Children

This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Where we link out — for example to WhatsApp or to an app store — that destination has its own privacy policy, and this one stops at the edge of our site.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes, and the last-updated date at the top changes with it. Meaningful changes — enabling analytics, for instance — will be described here rather than absorbed quietly into general wording.

A note on what this is

This page is a plain-language description of how we handle information on this website. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer about your own obligations.
