What Will Your App Cost to Build?
Pick the platforms, roughly how many screens, and the features you know you need. You'll get an indicative range and a timeline straight away — no call, no email required to see it.
Indicative Build Cost
—
Typically — from kickoff to launch
An estimate, not a quote. Real figures come after a scoping call.
What Actually Moves the Cost
Screen count is the number everyone asks about. It is rarely the thing that decides the budget.
Pushes It Up
- Rules behind the screens — pricing logic, approvals, permissions
- Real-time anything: chat, live tracking, collaborative editing
- Integrations with systems you don't control
- Regulated data — health, financial, children's
- Supporting several user roles with different permissions
- Offline use that has to sync cleanly afterwards
Brings It Down
- Launching on one platform first and adding the second later
- Existing designs, or a brand you're happy to keep simple
- Using proven services for payments, auth and notifications
- Cutting v1 to the one thing users must be able to do
- Clear decision-making on your side — one person who can say yes
Not in the Number
- App store developer accounts
- Cloud hosting and running costs
- Paid third-party APIs and services
- Content, photography and video
- Marketing and user acquisition
About This Estimate
How accurate is this estimate?
It is a range, not a quote, and it is meant to tell you which order of magnitude you are in — whether this is a $15,000 project or a $90,000 one. That is usually the question people actually need answered before they start talking to anyone. The range narrows into a real figure after a scoping call, once we understand the specifics of your business logic and your edge cases.
Why is the result a range instead of a number?
Because a single number at this stage would be false precision. Two apps with the same screen count can differ by a factor of three depending on how complicated the rules behind those screens are. Anyone who gives you an exact figure from a web form is either padding it heavily or will be asking for more money later.
What is not included in the estimate?
Third-party service fees, app store developer accounts, paid APIs, ongoing cloud hosting, and any content or media you need produced. These are usually modest next to build cost but they are real, and we list them explicitly rather than letting them surface as surprises.
Does the estimate include design?
Only if you tick the design option. If you already have designs or a designer, leave it unticked and the number drops. If you have nothing but an idea, tick it — skipping design does not save money, it just moves the cost into rework later.
